I guarantee you the doctors told the woman her child had a higher than normal risk of down syndrome (this is just a common disclaimer they say to any mom's who are above the age of 35).
That entirely different than "I'm physically looking at your kid right now and it's brain is literally not part of the body anymore."

Personally i think the friend shouldn't have aborted, the 2nd woman is proof that a baby can grow into adulthood with a brain outside their body
