Google Play Music was easily my favorite app, simply because I was able to store over 5,000 songs in my account and it wouldn’t take any space of my phone’s storage. It’d only take up space locally on my phone when I download my playlists for offline listening. Ex: 775 songs downloaded for offline takes up about 9GB local storage space.

Basically, it was a good way to have access to music without having to use a lot of data. So along with GPM’s personal upload/offline option and Google Maps offline maps option, I’ve never really needed to be on unlimited data plans. 2GB-3GB a month was always enough for me.

I downloaded my GPM library a month ago into my laptop but I haven’t transferred it to my iPhone yet. I’m just wait for the new iPhones to come out to see if I’ll get a 12 mini, or 11 on discount.
