Battle of Stalingrad was so bloody and cold. Five months of fighting* with 810k Axis, 1.1 million Russians dead, MIA, captured or wounded**. I can’t imagine the hell that winter was.

*Edit: FIVE months. Not three.

**Edit 2: These figures reflect deceased as well as, MIA, POW, wounded. It was initially listed as deaths alone.
