I'm not defending this film but can someone explain to me why there is so much controversy about this while no one ever says anything about these god awful child beauty pageants and the TV shows revolving around them when they're basically the same thing?

Although I like Netflix, I'm confused on how these kids' parents are okay with this. That's savage, but not in a cool or meme way.

Won't go anywhere. The law defines child porn as something with "no artistic value"
It won awards at Sundance I believe.
