For those wondering: It’s pretty easy to extract your own DNA from saliva (and most organic things) Just add a tablespoon of salt to two cups of water, gargle 1/4 of it for 1 min and spit it back into the cup, add 2 drops of dish soap, stir gently and add 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol and stirr gently for a few minutes. It will look just like the picture.
