Ayyee just remember guys, term limits don't solve all your problems.

When newly elected officials get into office, they lean on people who have been around for awhile. Want to know who's been around for awhile? The lobbyist.

We need an electoral finance reform so that you don't need tens of millions of dollars to run for office. We need a multi-party system. The defect isn't that old (could be read as experienced) people are in office, its that we can't replace them with 100 AOC's (eg. not establishment politicians) when they ignore the real needs of the nation because they are being supported by the wealthy interests and new contenders can't get the funding to compete with them.

Edit: clarified what I meant by 100 AOCs.

Edit: I appreciate the upvotes and awards. Please be aware that I am far from the typical redditor. I am old, I am well off, I am white, I am male. By conventional reddit logic, I should be a Republican or a moderate Democrat. Five years ago I was. It has become clear to me that for my children and grandchildren to prosper that the country needs dramatic change. I am not alone. There are many boomers like me who see that the past system is failing. Let us all unite together for change.
