That map can easily give the impression that Europeans are more stupid than they are.

It's important to notice that it only takes into account people that strongly agree that vaccines are safe. For example, it shows that 78,8% of Finnish people believe in vaccines which makes it look like 21,2% don't agree. Yet, the real numbers are 78,8% strongly agree, 20,6% don't agree or disagree and 0,6% disagree.

Edit: Changed the 2015 values to 2019 values.

In Sweden we had the scandal with the swine flu vaccine that was developed here around 2010 or so, and it was simply NOT safe, actually it was harmful. Lots of children got neurological issues, mainly narcolepsy, but also dropped iq score on tests. So when people come asking about how safe vaccines are they remember what happened then, thinking not safe enough for me or my kids until it's been tested in those who need it the most first.

Why only strongly agree?
