Man... back in March when things were just starting to get crazy, a guy at my office went and bought one of those forehead thermometers from Walmart or something like that.
I showed up to work the next day and he beeped my head and it showed I had like a 104° fever. He did it like three times and it kept showing it. So obviously they wouldn’t let me in the building even though I felt fine.
I had to go through this giant thing with HR... schedule a doctors appointment.. get a doctors note showing I was fine... blah blah blah.
Turns out... those cheap ass thermometers are sensitive and will pick up if you’ve been outside in the sun or getting out of a hot car. I had just driven over with my sunroof open and that’s what it was picking up.
I had to go through all this shit and miss two days of work because this cheap ass didn’t want to spend more than $9 on a thermometer.
