Much as I like HP myself, Rowling fans are not generally known for being widely read in the field. Pratchett took a lot of stick for aparently having stolen the idea of Unseen University (which dates back to mid-1980s) from Hogwarts. And an illustration of Ponder Stibbons with round glasses from 1996 was, apparently, a rip-off of the Boy Wonder himself, leading Pterry to admit to owning a time machine.
Then, when he dared to defend himself by pointing out some of these facts, and despite having clearly stated that all fantasy writers bake their cakes from the same basic ingredients, he was supposedly accusing Rowling of plgiarising him.

Earthsea and Book of Magic are both fantastic.

Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia are what I usually associate with fantasy
