Cancelled our honeymoon due to COVID. After the wedding decided to go on a last minute mini honeymoon. The first night we saw a plump little guy waddling across the sheets. Of course he’s a bedbug. Did all we could to not bring them home. We were unsuccessful.

First thing I do anymore at a hotel, wife and I go in, kids (13 and 15) sit with luggage in hallway and we pull up the corners of the sheets and check pillows. Look under the seam ribbon and check mattress for blood spots. Any of these are present, we leave. Hasn't failed us yet.

I’ve had to deal with these fuckers twice. Once I brought them home from a hotel and once got them from my neighbor upstairs. My advice is to call a professional ASAP. The first time I tried to get rid of them myself and it took months. The second time I got a top notch exterminator right away and they were gone in two visits. 10/10 would call an exterminator again. Good luck!

Oh boy. Golden rule if there’s ever bed bugs in your hotel room, you do NOT go home until all your stuff has been fumigated and all your clothes washed at high temperature.
