Funfact, Britain's first jet fighter, the Gloster Meteor engagement against the German V-1 rocket in 1944 over south england is described as world's first successful jet-on-jet combat.

I'm from the Netherlands. Close to where I live the rails that were used to launch the V-1 rockets is still there. Really impressive and it's just sitting there in the edge of the woods.
