Last week I touched on multiple betting and markets that are ideal for playing so in, especially when using short-priced doubles.

To remind you, we are looking for markets with no more than two possible result outcomes. This will narrow down the margin for error of a negative result.

You can get full access to this Doubles method and many more profitable strategies in my brand new ‘Quick-Fire Betting Profits’ package available soon!

Cor blimey, I fink this guy was happy with EastEnders! Oi oi!

Finally, here’s an article I found some time ago about one man who had some extraordinary luck when placing his novelty bet accumulator… or was it luck?

“A 40-year-old night-shift worker from Newport in South Wales walked into his local betting shop on December 30th 1989 and staked £30 on an accumulator, which banked on a series of happenings before the turn of the millennium.

“The punter’s prayers were with Cliff Richard (4-1) being knighted, U2 (3-1) remaining a pop group, Eastenders (5-1) still being around as a BBC soap opera, and both Neighbours (5-1) and Home Away (8-1) remaining on our British television screens.

“Remarkably, all his prayers were answered, and two days into the new millennium he walked back into the shop and asked for his winnings, which amounted to £194,400.

“Nobody had passed on the bet to head office, but after a couple of days it was confirmed as a bona fide transaction, and the punter was duly paid out, his 6,479-1 accumulator still being the largest novelty killing in the history of bookmaking.

“In the high-stakes world of spread betting, what are the odds on a lucky punter beating this record in years to come?”

In the United Kingdom, Home and Away was first broadcast on ITV from 11 February 1989 until 8 June 2000

In February 2000, it was announced that Home and Away would be moving to rival Channel 5 after they bought the rights to the show in a £40m auction deal

Home and Away went off air for 12 months as ITV had an exclusivity clause that prevented any other broadcaster from airing the show for a year.

If that deal had happened a year earlier, he would have lost the bet.

That’s got the be the single most random fucking bet of all time. Also the odds surprise me, the shows I know nothing about but neither the U2 nor the Cliff Richard bet seem super unlikely
