I'm not too well-versed in mid-90's American politics- what's with the comparatively large victory margin in the '96 election?

nice presentation. I've raised this point before, that for a non-incumbent Republican to win the popular vote, you have to go back to Bush's father in 1988. Most redditors were not even born yet.
That is 32 years ago. Wow.

You should include 3rd party votes on here too: iirc Ross Perot got nearly 20% of the popular vote in 92 and didn't win a single elector.
