Heeey that happened in my province! Good old Albertans, they were clocked doing 150km/h on one of our most deadly highways, and both driver and passenger were asleep.
Anyone comparing this to an autopilot in a plane needs to know that if you are a pilot you are trained to learn that the autopilot can kill you. If it ever does something you don’t like you are supposed to turn it off and hand fly until you figure out what went wrong. An autopilot is stupid because it only does what you tell it to. It’s also only as good as what information it is receiving by the instruments. So you are trained as a pilot to always be alert in case something goes wrong. I can’t imagine a driver using this to fall asleep at the wheel. That is so ridiculous it makes me anxious just thinking about it.
