I worked in group homes with folks with intellectual disabilities and took a few folks to the gym twice a week. Having their aide make it seem fun encouraged them to get up and move.
I worked with WAAAAAAAY to many people who would have taken them to the gym and just sat there fucking around. Whoever is taking their disabled friend to the gym and encouraging them to be healthy is a rock star in my book.
