I feel for Boyega, very talented, great start, was so hyped and it didn't go as he had hoped. Now, I'm of the unpopular opinion of liking the ST but Finn deserved more/Boyega deserved more.
He was so passionate to be in the SW universe it does sting that he (rightfully) doesn't look on it fondly. I hope he has a long, successful career.
Although beyond any story reasons ect the most abhorrent part is how "fans" treated him or any of the other cast members. Everyone can disagree about the story/love the story but getting personal toward the cast/crew is unacceptable. Even more unacceptable is when it takes the form of racism. These fans don't deserve star wars, not even the holiday special.
He is a promising actor and I hope maybe one day Disney can give him what he deserves in a SW follow up and ignite the passion again.

Of all of the sequel main cast, John always seemed to me to be the most excited about the opportunity.
