We are seeing the effects of having an increasingly uneducated population. We’ve had statistics for decades showing our students aren’t learning critical thinking skills like other developed nations and we defunded education as a response. Can you really be surprised when a pandemic strikes and a large portion of the population seriously thinks the most logical conclusion to draw is that it’s a hoax meant to control the masses. Or that masks literally stop you from being able to breathe, or that it isn’t that deadly even though actual scientists are showing that it can cause permanent damage to your heart even if you don’t show symptoms. We are watching the fall of America, folks. Enjoy the show.
Tbh I don’t think most people missed this - hence the consensus that this administration and the US generally has failed in addressing Covid and certainly failed compared to many, many other countries.
