Man, that’s interesting. I figured it would be more spread out, but they really just stayed in the south.
I wonder what those little “hot” spots in Nevada and South Dakota(?) are.

Does this include everyone with African descent (like Sudanese immigrants and refugees from more recently etc) or is it only a map of African-Americans?

Fun Fact- that high concentration strip was a result of fertile grounds left behind from a 100 million year old coastline
