Tony Hawk made an absolute shit ton of money from these games (not surprisingly), there’s a video on Reddit where he describes a meeting he had with an exec from Activision who gave him a cheque for $4 million dollars. And that was back when the original games came out. I think he made more from the games than his entire skating career.
He’s a legend. Gave a lot to charity by starting his own foundation that builds skate parks in underprivileged areas.
