If there was one person whose opinion I wanted to hear regarding the wildcat job action taken by the players in the National Basketball Association, it would be the Dauphin Prince, who popped up on CNBC on Wednesday morning to share his thoughts. From The Daily Beast:

“The NBA players are very fortunate that they have the financial position where they’re able to take a night off work without having to have the consequences to themselves financially,” said Kushner, whose family wealth has been estimated at well over $1.5 billion. “They have that luxury, so that’s great.” Kushner went on to say that the NBA “put a lot of slogans out, but I think what we need to do is turn that from slogans and signals to actual actions that’s going to solve the problem.”

Chris Paul worked his whole life and won a scholarship to Wake Forest University. Jared Kushner’s father bought the spalpeen’s way into Harvard. LeBron James worked his whole life to get rich. Jared Kushner married his way into a family of grifted wealth. Giannis Sina Ugo Antetokounmpo began his life as a stateless Nigerian migrant in Greece, and he’s now the NBA’s Most Valuable Player. Jared Kushner began his life as a privileged twerp and he’s now...a hyper-privileged twerp.

Lord, you made the fish so big and the barrel so small.

From the article:

“The NBA players are very fortunate that they have the financial position where they’re able to take a night off work without having to have the consequences to themselves financially,” said Kushner, whose family wealth has been estimated at well over $1.5 billion. “They have that luxury, so that’s great.” Kushner went on to say that the NBA “put a lot of slogans out, but I think what we need to do is turn that from slogans and signals to actual actions that’s going to solve the problem.” -emphasis mine

So the onus is now on the players and the league to fix systemic racism and police brutality? That's not how this works. Their job is to play a sport and they're using their platform to call attention to an issue in hopes that the government steps up and does its job.

Why doesn't Kushner just come out and say it? "Get back to work, boy". He seems upset that these black players aren't performing for his entertainment and should remember their place by reminding them that they are lucky to have any wealth at all. I'm so sick of the blatant racism that this administration has levied toward people of color and the dehumanization and character assassination against anyone who dares to call them out.

Vote like your life depends on it.

Remember when Jared didn’t implement a national testing program because it might help save people living in blue states?

Yeah, this is just Jared continuing to prove he’s a piece of shit.
