Ah, the days of being able to play a game enough to be competitive in multiplayer. I remember Unreal Tournament 2004. Just spending hours upon hours playing the online multiplayer in my dorm room. Getting good enough so all the muscle memory just led to me dominating deathmatches and Onslaught maps.
The same thing happened in the original Guild Wars. I played GvG with a guild that was routinely in the Top 10 US Guilds, and you'd just play these multi-hour long GvG games with Korean guilds that neither side would budge on, and you're just fried at 4AM in the morning after it's finally over.
I have fond memories of those times, but no way in any of the nine-levels of hell would I want to go back to living those times.
