While helping a friend rebuilding after wildfires in East Tennessee I had the unlucky privilege to have church volunteers come and totally fuck up everything they touched. One of the 'pastors' was telling the youths how the work we were doing is unskilled labor, meanwhile they can't take basic instructions or read a fucking tape measure. If any job is unskilled, it's being a youth pastor, unless you count braying like a jackass for jesus 10 times a minute as a skill. FFS!

Unskilled means training will be provided by the employer on company time.

Skilled means you are expected to have experience/certification beforehand.

I'm pretty sure "unskilled labor" doesn't refer to trades (like being a longshoreman), but rather to jobs like Walmart greeter, or 7/11 cashier.
