I did this as a response to many people who see my amateur shots like this and wonder why we need NASA since backyard tech has come so far. Well, here's just one small example. The fidelity of their data is simply so far beyond what is possible for me. One nice thing about processing their data, is I am not beholden to the scientific integrity of things, so can have some more fun with color and really push more of the details in the contrast that they wouldn't do. For that reason, the image (in my opinion) looks much more vibrant than theirs.

Amazing image Andrew. Trust me, it consistently blows me away what we as amateurs can accomplish, but seeing the same target thorough NASAs equipment is immediately humbling and a quick reminder why they exist. Now imagine what they could do with even 1% of the national budget 🤪
