How do they get in, and how is their weight supported? I know they don’t weight much, but I’m imagining it’s enough to have an effect on the flower.

They actually nest in the flowers! There's a thing where Wimbledon repurposes used tennis balls into nests for these guys by hollowing them out and mounting them on sticks to make a safe spot for the mice to rest
