Been there. Used to have an 80ish year old customer who smokes Thier clutch in 3000 miles from new. Over the time.i worked at that dealer must've put 5 clutches in same vehicle. (UK based)
I remember listening to car talk back in the day and a caller asked “can you go through a clutch in 5000 miles?” And click or clack said “oh I can do it in five minutes”

As someone who it’s just got their first manual car ever recently (brand new off the lot so no prior owners to blame) this is my nightmare!
