My brother banned our mum from visiting him when he got a snake because she said she would kill it or feed it to his dog. I bet this mum is banned too.
Edit: i will ask my brother what breed his snake is but she looks like lava so her name is Ember.
Edit: Ember is a Fire King Snake, which actually kill venomous snakes so she is a snake savior to humans I guess. She mostly eats mice and occasionally attacks spiders if they get close to her.
Until I got my current cats, I used to have a 'curse' regarding pets. All of them either seemed to run away or die after a few months of getting them. This messed me up cause I thought I was getting these poor animals harmed with some bad luck.
When I got older, I learned my mother would get tired of having them around and just sell them after a bit for drug money.
3 dogs, a cat, two birds, several fish, and even my snakes, all sold for the sake of a temporary high.
Edit: For those wandering (like that one guy in the comments), the fish were Goldfish, Algae Eaters, Catfish, and a few of those transparent ones (forgot what they were called).
Edit 2: Yeah, this is gonna seem dumb but to whoever gave me Argentium, thank you. :)
