Spotted a rainbow cloud from my balcony. Not as beautiful as Aurora but pretty rare to see such phenomena in India.

I've never seen one and didn't even know that such a thing existed. It's beautiful!

When I was growing up I thought rainbows were exaggerated to have more colors in children's books and stuff because ever rainbow I've seen has been missing colors. Since then I've been told that they do have all the colors by the color deficiency in my eyes only allows me to see one or two colors, but the vibrant pages of a book are just a little easier to see.

Normally color blindness isn't all that bad, but man, I'd like to be able to appreciate a rainbow in its full glory...

For those who don't know, It's called cloud iridescence or irisation. It's a optical phenomenon appears in the general proximity of the Sun or Moon. It's a type of photometeor and it's caused by very tiny ice crystals or water droplets in the air. Also circumhorizon arcs look very similar to iridescent clouds.
