I sometimes eavesdrop on people as they're talking to me to try to learn the rules of conversation. Like I'll just let them monologue and analyze the conversation to try to understand the social dynamics
Yeah this is cool but have you tried to dissociate hard enough that you don't actually record in your brain the informations the other person is giving you and exactly 2 minutes later you ask them about that exact same thing and now they're deeply offended because it was a kind of important subject for them?
