I lost my best friend of 13 years this past December. Since she’s been gone, I tend to ‘hear’ her paws tiptoeing on the tile floor in my kitchen and still almost ‘trip’ because she just can’t stay away from my feet - then I quickly snap back into reality, look down, and quickly see there’s no one there.
It’s been almost 8 months and I miss her every day. I can only selfishly hope that seeing this is a sign that I will experience a connection like this with her soon.
