We discovered today that one of my 85 yr old grandma's homecare workers had slit open her pill packs, took out all of her pain meds, and closed the packages with tape. We don't know how long this has been going on but I've filed a police report. I'm in RAGE MODE!

This is awful. Has your grandma been showing signs that she's in pain lately?

Speak to CQC (or your countries equivalent if not UK) and trigger a safeguarding concern.

Its classed as elder abuse, the care provider should have already triggered an investigation but speaking to the governing bodies directly stops things from getting brushed under the carpet.

This is elder abuse. CALL A LAWYER. CALL A LAWYER. CALL A LAWYER.

Please listen to me here. I studied this issue a lot in law school. You need to find a lawyer who specializes in elder abuse cases near you (just google it). They will get things done faster than you can imagine.

Edit: thanks for the silver, kind stranger!
