President Donald Trump's niece, Mary Trump, said the Trump family often used racist and anti-Semitic slurs when she was younger.

"Growing up, it was sort of normal to hear them use the n-word or use anti-Semitic expressions," she told The Washington Post.

Mary Trump, whose tell-all book was published this week, said her uncle is "clearly racist" and thinks his bigotry will "score him points with the only people who are continuing to support him."

This summer, Trump has leaned into his divisive rhetoric, promoting racists and condemning the Black Lives Matter movement, which he called "a symbol of hate," amid nationwide anti-racism protests.

President Donald Trump's niece, Mary Trump, said the Trump family often used racist and anti-Semitic slurs, exhibiting "a knee-jerk anti-Semitism, a knee-jerk racism," when she was younger.

"Growing up, it was sort of normal to hear them use the n-word or use anti-Semitic expressions," Mary Trump, whose tell-all book, "Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man" was published this week, told The Washington Post in an interview published Thursday.

The 55-year-old clinical psychologist said her uncle is "clearly racist."

"It comes easily to him and he thinks it's going to score him points with the only people who are continuing to support him," she told The Post.

Trump has consistently used racist, misogynistic, and xenophobic language both prior to his political career and as president. This summer, Trump has leaned into his divisive rhetoric, promoting racists and condemning the Black Lives Matter movement, which he called "a symbol of hate," amid nationwide anti-racism protests.

The White House has broadly denied the allegations made in the already best-selling book. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany called it "a book of falsehoods, plain and simple" in a statement to the Post.

The president's brother, Robert Trump, failed in his attempt to block the book's publication, citing a nondisclosure agreement Mary Trump signed in 2001 as the family determined Fred Trump's estate. A federal appeals court ruled against him, allowing the book to be released this week.

In her devastating account of her family, Mary Trump said the president bullies and cheats "as a way of life."

"Donald's penchant for division, and uncertainty about our country's future have created a perfect storm of catastophes that no one is less equipped than my uncle to manage," she wrote.

I'm actually shocked Don hasn't let it slip in public at any point, considering how much other insane stuff he doesn't care gets out.

Shocking that a complete racist like Trump grew up in a racist household.

This is only news to all the members of the media who have fought so hard from calling Trump a racist. And sadly, there's a whole lot of 'em.

I would be shocked if they didn’t use them.
