In April I got sick. Really sore throat. My first stop was the hospital for the corona test. 2 days later I got the result, negative thank fuck, so next day I went to my GP who took one look at my throat and told me to head right on down to the hospital. Really bad case of tonsillitis. This gave me a 3 day stay, luckily avoiding surgery and once discharged I was put on a really strong dose of antibiotics for 2 weeks. Total cost to me was around $20 for the antibiotics. Thank god I live in Australia!!!
My favorite was when I came down with my second endocrine system disease. Spent 7 days in the hospital and upon leaving my bill was 36k. Thank god America is so great!

No argument here. Simple appendectomy with 1 night stay in a county hospital hit me with a bill for 22k. And that was 10 years ago.
