Just might have been his only friend. At 95 you won’t have many old ones left.

Every time I catch myself in a conversation with someone elderly I will let them talk until they end our conversation. Sometimes they’re lonely or lost a loved one. They just want human interaction and I’m happy to give it to them.

This is why we need to take care of our elderly. They have to pass along their wisdom and knowledge to the world. When they do have someone that takes interest and listens their world opens up again like they have another whole life time to live. Their experiences are what built this world and they had all that time to reflect and figure out bits and pieces of our purpose and meaning as a whole. By cherishing and listening to them we can reflect on what they taught us and bring ourselves closer to salvation.

(I don't normally say things like this so I don't know if its weird or not but it was the thought I had the moment I seen the post and I felt the need to share.)
