In Brother Bear (2003) when Kenai is transformed into a bear the aspect ratio changes and widens from 1.75:1 to 2.35:1 representing the character’s expanded perception of the world.
I distinctly remember this because I saw this movie on a field trip (to the theaters? Seems weird now) and my theater had the curtains timed to extend at that point in the movie. I actually assumed they realized it wasn't extended until that moment and never gave it too much thought
