Admitting when I don’t know something, and then setting goals to find out, is the cornerstone of my career in technology. The people who don’t last are the ones who try to sound like they’re the incontestable expert.

I had a teacher respond to a question I asked with “That’s actually a really good question, I’ll have to find out and I’ll tell you tomorrow” I know it’s not much different but being given credit for asking a question the teacher didn’t know the answer to was a real ego booster for me. I was much more willing to engage and ask questions after that. I was practically chasing the dragon.
