So we know that COVID is worse in people with pre-existing conditions. Out of curiosity, have any studies been done to show these people didn't have these conditions before, or a predisposition for some of them? Is it possible that they got sick from COVID, bringing them to a doctor and it exacerbated it?

Because covid-19 increases your risk of these, or being at-risk for these also makes you higher risk for contracting covid?
