The first one that came to mind was the companions in Skyrim when you have to test your strength against Vilkas (I think it was him)

This makes me think of Wind Waker when you train against the sword guy in your village
My 10 year old self was thinking at the time "Hey this guy is really strong, why doesnt he go fight Ganon?"
