As a food industry engineer, that is a major yikes. I'd have a look to see what plant that was produced at and inform them, they will want to know they have a gap in their product inspection protocol!
You should contact the company and report it. They will take this very seriously. You will also likely be rewarded with more bars which, if you're lucky, will contain less shrapnel.
