Unfortunately, this will happen in your professional life as an adult too. If you work in an office, people knock on your CLOSED door to come in, but they don’t close the shit back when they leave.

YES!!! My dads actually worse, he will walk in, tell me what he needs to tell me, then keeps the door all the way open. It’s so annoying
