I had an ER visit recently, just walked in with minor symptoms. 6k with good insurance. Dropped to 3.2k after many calls to my insurance provider. Took me around 2 weeks and maybe 10 hours on the phone.
But yeah, the US can't afford this, who do we think we are, the rest of the world?

Also, I know you have insurance but this is your deductible and co-pay and you're not covered.

I live in a Republican hell this is not their mentality. Their mentality is:
"I don't want my tax dollars paying for someone else's healthcare."
They will gladly pay more in taxes for a wall or a bigger military, but the second it might help a Democrat or non-white person they're pissed.
