A professor long ago told me of his visit to Piraeus, the port city that serves Athens. He said the ancient cobblestone streets had fingers inlaid in them that showed sailors the route to the whorehouse district.

On closer examination, he noted they weren't fingers.

It says AKOLÙTHA (FOLLOW) which in Greek is ΑΚΟΛΟΥΘΑ or ακολούθα in lowercase. I guess the ME is on the other shoe. However this word on the shoe is not actual Greek, instead it is the Greek word using Latin alphabet.
