I mean, respect to all those who've become ill or died... but otherwise, I've been waiting for it to be socially acceptable to wear a ninja mask in public since I was 8.
This same logic can be applied to climate change. If we clean up our act and the scientists were wrong, then you drove a Prius for no reason. If we don’t clean up our act and the scientists were right, catastrophe.
I was so worried about unknowingly spreading COVID to someone vulnerable, and when I did catch it I was thankful I had a mask on during the time I was potentially infectious. It's a slight annoyance to prevent someone else from going through the same thing as me or worse, I don't understand why it's so controversial. Selfishness, I guess.
