About a month ago I had to give a guy CPR during Covid, which meant I needed to get tested. Today I got the bill for being a Good Samaritan

I’d call up a supervisor in their billing department and explain the situation , ideally with a testimonial from the person.

If they balk on things, which they will absolutely do, email the CEO and CC in their communications group with a list of all the social media and news outlets to whom you are going to release that bill.

Gotta take a shot, and right now for profit hospitals are trying avoid bad press like the plague.

Put it on twitter tagging the hospital and a local tv station. That bill will disappear right quick.

If you are in the U.S. I thought all covid19 related care was supposed to be 100% covered.
