I was arrested one time. I was in a bar with a group of friends, and the bar had let in more people than the fire code allowed. The cops came and said everybody out. I was pretty drunk, and not wanting any trouble, did as the cops said and went outside to wait for my friends so we could uber home together.

I got arrested for being drunk in public almost immediately upon setting foot on the sidewalk. Once I was at the jail, getting mug shots, I saw on their computer screen some of the other recently taken mug shots and recognized faces of people who had been at that bar.

So, sometimes you do what the cops say, and they force you into an illegal situation, but if you don't do what they say, you're disobeying a lawful order, which is also illegal.

Still doesn't change the fact you shouldn't get killed while being arrested

John Crawford was shopping in a Walmart. He was purchasing a BB gun they sold there and a few other items. A man named Ronald Richie called 911 and made up a story about a man pointing a gun at people and loading it, giving the police John Crawfords description. John never knew the police were even there, he never saw them. They snuck up on him around the aisle and shot him dead on the spot. The police lied and said he didnt comply to commands. The surveillance video exposed this as inaccurate, showing that he never had even a moment to acknowledge them as they shot him from around the corner of the aisle, and they still suffered no disciplinary action, including the bogus 911 caller.

Ps. The police arrived to a calm and normal scene, people were shoping and going about their day, these "bad asses" went full call of duty creeping down the aisle in full tactical. Oblivious to the fact there was litterally nothing wrong, nothing was happening at all, they never bothered to issue a command or warning.
