Car bomb. I’m surprised it wasn’t ruled a suicide

This post always upsets me. I work in financial compliance and we use the information from the Panama papers on a daily basis in our investigations and have reported a ton of evidence of financial crimes that we've found via the Papers. The problem is that the entire system was designed to be as opaque and difficult to trace as possible, so building a case which passes legal scrutiny is extremely difficult. In addition, reporting stuff from the papers would just get added to the rest of the gigantic backlog of other reports from other sources, so any government action will be slow (if at all)

No, people aren't going to jail on a daily basis and yes, the politicians involved are largely still in power and SO MUCH more could be done with that information, but I just wish people knew that the Panama papers are being used and that, at least in my personal experience, they have helped catch and prevent some criminal action.
