Florida Swat Team Resign Over “Political Climate” And Prioritizing Safety Of Dogs Over Team Members.

The Nation has lost control over the death of George Floyd, rioting, looting and violence becomes the “new normal”. Earlier, California looters turned on each other as they brawl over looted clothing.

Now, all 10 members of the swat team in Hallendale Beach, Florida have resigned, citing the “political climate” and safety concerns in a letter sent to the department’s Police chief.

The letter to Chief Sonia Quinones is dated June 9, and the team members said they were “minimally equipped, under trained and often times restrained by the politicization of our tactics to the extent of placing the safety of dogs over the safety of the team members.”

The team members added that their current situation and several recent local events have made officers increasingly hesitant, which “creates safety issues that cannot be ignored or overlooked.”

“Until these conditions and sentiments are rectified and addressed, we cannot safely, effectively and in good faith carry out duties in this capacity without putting ourselves and our families at this needless increased level of risk,” the officers wrote.

Hallandale has a population of less than 40,000 people. Why in the world does it have a dedicated SWAT team of 10 people. That's ridiculous.

The SWAT team admits that they are unsafe and willfully disbanded. A model for other out of control law enforcement.

These guys were being asked to go into situations where the dog should be protected. Why are police calling in SWAT in situations like that? If the situation is light enough that there are orders not to shoot the dog, then that isnt a situation for SWAT.

Ive got a feeling that America has about 10x too many SWAT teams.
