Studies have shown that both the Cheltenham Festival & the Champions League game between Atletico & Liverpool increased the death rate here

This protest would 100% be justified under normal circumstances. But I don’t care how desperate the feeling behind it is right now we have 60,000 dead and the BAME rate per head is higher than white deaths.

It is very likely that this protest will lead to more deaths, probably BAME deaths too.

It’s absolutely absurd.

Ah man. I’m totally with the protestors in spirit, but...coronavirus.

I’m a healthcare professional. It’s known that there was a higher COVID19 death rate in healthcare professionals of black/minority ethnic background.

Not intentional, but yes, this could well contribute to a second wave.

I am all for equal rights but this photo makes me furious. I suffered from Covid-19. I was sick for more than a month. I still have some after effects of the disease. I was put on furlough and had to survive on peanuts to keep me and my family fed. I recently found out I won't have a job to go back to once furlough ends. I am still trying to find a new job but it's hard as recruitment in my field is low.

Oh and no, I am not of European heritage i.e. white but as a Londoner, this photo makes my blood boil! I even support the cause but this is NOT the time! We just started re-opening economy, covid-19 cases and deaths curves flattened very recently. I understand this is an issue but you won't get support of general public protesting like this if anything you might even face backlash.

Please find other ways to protest until we are through with Covid-19. Once this pandemic is over, hell, gather in millions and protest all day and night in fact I will join the peaceful protests but for now you need to be creative and find other ways.
