Edit: not seeing any of the comments, but I’m getting notifications about it. IMO, Yes, rich white men in power have, and will always try to take advantage of minorities for profit. But at this point in contemporary politics, there are clear ideological differences between the left and the right and stating they’re both a part of the same system (as a shut down tactic, not as constructive conversation about political change) 1) doesn’t really ADD to the conversation and 2) perpetuates the disinterest and defeatism that allows the system to continue. One side is clear selfishness to the point of hateful rhetoric being a pillar, and the other side fights for equal opportunity and consequences for injustices. Same government and same thing is a false equivalence.
Can I just say as a non-American, your insistence on mocking anyone who doesnt feel enfranchised by either party is pretty hilarious. Just because one is worse than the other doesnt mean you have to identify with the lesser evil so long as you know where to cast your vote.
