You still need to protect those who can’t protect themselves

Allied forces

Yeah try just American forces as stated in the person's post and you'll get a much higher mortality rate.

The US assault on Omaha was nearly called off because it was going so badly.

"Pickett's highly trained company suffered 96% mortality casualty rate during the first hour"

Casualty rates on other beaches such as gold were 80% lower!

I'm non US but appreciate the sacrifice they made that day.

Edit: don't forget to consider time in your rebuttals, obviously hundreds of thousands of troops arriving after the beaches were secured on the first day will reduce the mortality rate:

1 hour - mortality casualty rate = 96% (from just the company above not all us landings)

1 day - mortality rate = 2.3%

1 month - mortality rate = <1%

The funniest part about these images, and the people who post them, I’d that they think they’re fighting government control, and displaying what it’s like to honorably stand up and do the right thing.

They’re forgetting one minor detail. This country had a fucking draft until 1975! More than 65% of the men that went to WWII, and nearly 75% that died there, were drafted into the services! They went to war because the government threatened to jail them indefinitely if they didn’t!

Nothing could be less free, or display more governmental control.
