Thousands of bags of food donated by fellow citizens to those left in a food desert due to the destruction of grocery stores and the ceasing of public transportation.

Great to see that even the groceries are out in the streets protesting.

Sanford Middle School in South Minneapolis. They asked the community for 85 bags of food. Thousands of bags showed up.

*I donated $50 to the effort and have 2 Venmo’s of people in the area who are putting bags together. They are going to continue giving out food until the protests no longer affect the school food programs, which have been forced to close due to the protests. If anyone would like the venmo of the social worker who is coordinating this effort, please let me know. I also have the Venmo of the public school teacher who is also making Costco runs to regularly buy food and requested items for the students. They are posting pictures of the receipts of items they’ve bought and video of them dropping off goods.
